The aim is to inspire visitors - young and old - to imagine and reimagine the world around them through experiential art and active play.
Each bi-yearly edition of the festival spotlights a Singaporean artist whose story exemplifies that anything is possible. This year's edition introduces visitors to Lee Wen, one of Singapore's pioneer performance artists and a Cultural Medallion award recipient, through a special commission, A Waking Dream: Sun-boy and Yellow Man, that is inspired by his life and practice.
Visitors to Lee Wen's special commission will embark on an immersive and experential journey through the artist's dream-like world that sprawls the City Hall Foyer, up the Historical Staircases and Lobbies, and finally into the Singtel Special Exhibition Gallery 1.
Featuring a plethoria interactive elements such as an orchestra of objects to compose your own tunes, installations that invite dance and movement, or even a gazebo where one can rest while the little ones explore, the artist invites every visitor to daydream and find themselves once again.
Free entry for Singaporean & PRs.
Standard ticket for non-Singaporeans: $20. Concessions available.
