The grande dame of Japanese avant-garde, known worldwide for her signature splash of polka dots, mesmerising infinity mirror rooms and shiny punpkin sculptures will feature in this, her first major museum exhibition in SE Asia.
On display will be more than 120 artworks - paintings, sculputrs, videos and installations, spanning seven decades.
Madam Kusama, 88, is one of the biggest and most influential artists of today, with her use of psychedelic colours, provocative performance art pieces and hypnotic, dream-like mirrored rooms.
She was named the world's most popular artist in 2015 and her ongoing exhibition of mirrored rooms at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington DC has attracted a record number of visitors and become the most popular showcase in the museum's history.
