Vibrant floats, dancing dragons, prancing lions, stilt walkers, wushu master, performers from different races in traditional costumes and much more ... this street extravaganza epitomises the dynamism of Singapore's vibrant, multicultural society. The word Chingay is equivalent to the Mandarin zhuang yi (妆艺), which means "the art of costume and masquerade" in the Hokkien dialect.

Chingay is a uniquely Singaporean Lunar New Year tradition held during the first weekend of the Lunar New Year. This yearly street parade is a national festival, celebrated by Chinese, Malays, Indians and Eurasians alike.

Chingay 2018 is brimming with multi-ethnic cultural performances by local talents and international acts featuring elaborately decorated floats, a dazzling array of colourful costumes, creative props and wearable art. a street Party at the end of the Parade, stunning displays of lights, lasers and more.
