Maitreyi visits the carnival @Gateway Arts Festival and discovers a series of fun workshops and activities for kids this July.

Get ready for some fun-filled festivities for kids because Gateway Arts Festival is in full swing!

The festival features workshops, shows, and for this weekend only, a carnival with free admission!

The carnival takes place @ the Sky Garden on the 6th floor of 3615 Jalan Bukit Merah, an open space with ample seating and lush greenery.

Attractions include a bouncy castle, face-painting, carnival games, arts and crafts, balloon animals, and some snacks for you and your children to enjoy. While admission is free, some attractions such as the face-painting and arts and crafts cost $2 – $3 so it is worth carrying some change. There is also a jungle gym and a juggler, so be ready to put your motor skills to the test!

Gateway Arts Festival also features shows and workshops for kids, conducted on weekends throughout July.

Show prices range from $10 – $32 and workshop prices are at $20.

Workshops include puppet-making, circus tricks, and upcycling projects, teaching your child the importance of environmental concerns such as reducing waste.

Be sure to sign up online at their website as tickets may be unavailable at the door.
