Untame after Dark
December 3 - December 5
Night explorers, it’s a science thing, science coming to life after dark.
Part of a three month celebration on sustainability and green efforts, this hybrid festival offers online activities (missions to restore ravaged environments, workshops, a pop-up farmers market) as well as events in the Science Centre. It kicks off on October 2nd and comprises many activities and experiences.
October 2nd : The Steam Festival begins, targeted at three to six year old children. They will learn about renewable energy and will be able to try programming a robot that will clean up trash.
Tickets are S$ 18.00 for adults and S$ 60.00 for children.
Till November 26 : People are encouraged to participate in the creation of a record-breaking mural, 14m wide and 2m high, made from contributions of bottle caps from the general public. These can be dropped off at the Science Centre entrances, KidsStop and collection points in the Jurong area. The closing date for sending in bottle caps is 26 November. The mural will be unveiled the next day @ the Kinetic Garden.
December : The fan favourite exhibitions Phobia2: The Science of Fear and Professor Crackitt’s: Light Fantastic Mirror Maze are set to delight audiences.
The Dazzling Light Installation – a project in collaboration with Very Small Exhibition – promises a brilliant kaleidoscopic spectacle of lights and colours. The Twilight Experience offers 4 specially curated zones – an Activity Zone, a Flea Zone, a Food Zone and a Lifestyle Zone. The Electrified Show promises just that – a high-tech special effects show featuring magical special effects using lights, lasers, multimedia and robotics.
Live music performances by local talent.
