The Mind’s Eye
February 17 - March 31
Do you believe everything that you see ? Exhibits of various optical illusions show how things may not always be the way they appear.
A fun half hour to discover how perspectives can be altered and experiences changed !
The Unexpected Dinner : Headless Fun
Crawl in from the back, stick your head through the hole. Through cleverly placed mirrors that reflect the background, an illusion of empty space is created – hiding the rest of your body.
Giant Chair : Perspectives
Position your camera lens behind the ‘peephole’ and two wrongs become right – separated pieces of a chair magically align. The effect of this illusion gets better with photo subjects – revealing how our visual system relies on shortcuts and can gloss over details in favour of the big picture.
Free, but general admission to the Science Centre applies.
Located @ the Entrance Hall.
Schedule half an hour for the exhibition.
Daily : 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
Closed some Mondays
