Singapore Writers Festival 2019

November 1 - November 10

by Emily Siu

SWF for Families offers a whole series of free and ticketed events for children in various locations around the Civic District.

This year’s theme is A Language of Our Own, and includes – among many others – storytelling sessions, workshops, talks and more for children, from as young as two years. Some bi-lingual programmes, craft and movement sessions, puppetry, popular young adult authors and programmes for children with special needs.

Bring the little ones, the middling ones, the readers and writers; explore the worlds of words, art and fantasy, listen to the pro’s, participate and learn.

The SWF Youth Fringe features topics such as young adult fiction, K-pop and memes.

The SWF Youth Pass, a discounted pass for students, offers access to over 100 events.

This year marks the Festival’s twenty second iteration and features local and international authors.

The Festival Pass is S$ 25.00, but individual programme tickets are also an option.
