KIDS’ DINER

November 28

Children are essentially the future and hope of society. This film shows how people can change when they meet and reflect on things.

Yuto Takano, (Kanata Fujimoto), a fifth-grader, lives with his younger sister and parents who run a cafeteria. His friend Takashi is from a single-parent family and does not experience much of normal childhood life, often going to the cafeteria for meals.

One day, Yuto and Takashi meet two sisters who live in a car with their father at the riverbank. Yuto takes them to his parents’ cafeteria for hot meals. His parents are suspicious of the girls. Several days later, the girls’ father disappears, leaving them on their own. They start to lose their sense of place, purpose and identity. Yuto, who lives mainly to avoid trouble – until now – begins unexpectedly, to help the sisters.
