KidLit 2020

Asian Festival of Children’s Content (AFCC) 2020 invites young artists, wordsmiths and other creatives to participate in a free day of storytelling, illustration and rhymes, dramatised readings, wacky poems and emoji crafts … even an epic illustrators’ battle.

I’m Very Busy

What does your little one think Baozi is doing when he says he’s busy? Draw along with creators Colin and Yen Yen as they bring silly suggestions from kids to life. Also, a dramatic reading of I’m Very Busy from the hilarious Little Dim Sum Warriors bilingual picture book series.

It’s Rhyme Time!
11.15 a.m. – 12.00 p.m. | For ages 7 – 10

Explore a world of funny and nonsensical rhymes and learn how to create simple limericks.

What Colours Are You Feeling?
1.00 p.m. – 1.45 p.m. | For ages 5 and above

Create colourful and fun emoji crafts that help express emotions – use it to share an emotive story.

Duelling Illustrators – Live!
2.15 p.m. – 3.00 p.m. | For ages 4 and above

As a story is read out, two illustrators engage in battle trying to outdraw the other.

Let’s Sing, Play and Move to ORIGAMI with Wigglepods!
3.30 p.m. – 4.15 p.m. | For ages 3 – 7

A creative music and movement adventure with Wigglepods – SING, MOVE and PLAY to session inspired by the book titled Benji, Yumi, Origami! by Emily Lim-Leh and Kazumi Wilds.
