December is nigh, holidays underway and family-friendly movies are the pickings ! Eight of them to choose from !

The Grinch : The adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ 1957 classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas ! about the grumpy green creature who plots to ruin everyone’s Christmas by stealing their presents. Opens November 29th.

Spider-Man : The Spider-Verse : Set in a shared universe – Spider-Verse – Spider people are brought together from parallel worlds, as told from the perspective of half-African-American, half-Puerto Rican teenager Miles Morales who has to learn how to use his new Spider skills. Opens December 13th.

The Big Bad Fox and Other Tales : Adapted from director Benjamin Renner’s comic books, and tells three different stories that take place on French farms. As in, a duck who wants to be Santa Claus, so does that make it a quack ? Dubbed in Englihs. Opens December 6th.

BumbleBee : The prequel to the hit Transformers series, it focuses on fave yellow Autobot, Bumblebee who discovers, with teenage girl Charlie, that he is not the only one of his kind on earth. Opens December 20th.

Mortal Engines : a post-apocalyptic adventure set in a world where entire cities are motorised on wheels. Opens December 6th.

Mary Poppins Returns : A musical family film that needs no introduction; the follow-up to the 1964 Mary Poppins film. New songs shepherd a new generation, with the Banks children all grown up with kids of their own. Opens December 25th.

Aquaman : DC Comics superhero looks at why Aquaman, half human, half Atlantean ruler, is reluctant to be king of the underworld nation of Atlantis. Opens December 13th.

Mia and the White Lion : A young girl in London bonds with a white lion cub and the film was shot over 3 years so that the girl could be filmed growing up. Opens December 27th.
