Floating popsicle-coloured ceramics invite you to reflect on the notion of perfection, especially as relationships between natural, urban and imagined environments become increasingly complex.
Food for thought and discussion. A good way to spend interesting and quality time with a child.
Noted Singaporean artist Ahmad Abu Bakar’s Candy Garden is an escape into a playful and surreal dreamland.
In this installation, ceramics of various sizes and forms were thrown individually and decorated with coloured horizontal lines, with bases of floral motifs and geometrical designs – modelled after structures and patterns found in everyday life.
The pieces are symbolic of the ways natural and built environments meld to create ideal living conditions.
