Japanese avant-garde sound artist ASUNA’s landmark work and site-specific listening experience – something new and fascinating for the young techie-musician ? Or for anyone who thinks outside the box and enjoys new ways of experiencing.
ASUNA’s playful genre-bending sonic experiments span ambient, hip-hop, low-fi pop and improvisation.
With 100 battery-operated analogue keyboards, ASUNA manipulates sound waves to create an intriguing and fascinating ambient wash of overlapping notes and sonic textures that envelop from every direction … subtle variations of sound that vary based on your location in the performance space.
One hour 20 minutes, no intermission.
Audiences may be required to sit on the floor.
Admission is not permitted after the performance begins.
